I am one of the school psychologists at Interboro High School, where I have been for the last 10 years. I enjoy the caring, involved, and diverse Interboro community.
At the high school, I complete psychoeducational assessments to evaluate a student's strengths and needs and, with a team of parents, faculty, and other staff, determine whether the student is in need of special education services. I also help with student counseling, crisis intervention, referrals to outside agencies, and so on. I enjoy helping out students and assisting them and their parents to navigate a complex service system to find what they need.
Outside, I am the proud mother of a 13-year-old son who seems to enjoy anything and everything. I love to garden, hike, and to visit rustic spots such as Maine and the Poconos. This summer I will visit and sail with some cousins well north of Seattle near the Canadian border. Another ongoing project is the task of greening my home and lifestyle to adjust to the demands of our changing world.
In terms of education, I graduated from Princeton University and earned a master's degree in learning disabilites at Northwestern University and a doctoral degree in child development and clinical psychology at the University of Minnesota. I am a certified school psychologist and a licensed psychologist.
